Mid-century design keeps coming back because it does so much with simple lines, and this queen bed frame is a clear example. The headboard carries a woven panel whose texture catches the light differently through the day, giving a bedroom warmth and a handcrafted feel without ornate carving or heavy hardware, and the integrated footboard completes the silhouette. The structure underneath is straightforward and strong. Twelve plywood slats span a wooden frame rated to 700 lbs, so an 8 to 10 in mattress can rest directly on the platform with no box spring required. The 80 x 61 in surface is embedded, holding the mattress in place, and rounded corners on the frame reduce the chance of bruised shins in a tight bedroom. With 6 in of clearance beneath, a vacuum reaches under the bed easily, and the 17.5 in footboard keeps bedding from sliding onto the floor. The frame measures 85 x 63 x 38 in overall and suits a primary bedroom, a guest suite, or an apartment leaning toward natural materials and clean shapes. Assembly is required.
