An 8-ft by 8-ft square canopy hangs off to one side here, so a dining table or a grill station sits fully in shade with no center pole in the way. Solar LED lights charge through the day from a built-in panel and switch on at dusk, turning the canopy into overhead lighting without wiring. Release the lock and the whole canopy swings a full 360 degrees to follow the sun, while a crank lift opens and closes it in seconds. Two sandbags load the weighted cross base to 116 lb, and a double-tier vented top lets gusts pass instead of pushing.
