Hardwood spreader bars hold the bed flat rather than letting it wrap around the sleeper, which is what makes a 55" width usable by two people side by side. Countersunk holes in the bars reduce rope fraying at the wear points, and galvanized chains resist rust outdoors. Polyester weave carries 600 lbs across a 76.5" x 55" bed, with the whole hammock spanning 121" to 148" depending on hang. No assembly needed; net weight 15 lbs.
