Black faux marble tops with rounded corners give this nesting pair a stone look at a fraction of the weight: the whole set is 29.5 pounds. The large table measures 27.5 inches square and 16 inches tall, rated for 66 pounds; the small one is 23.5 inches square and 12 inches tall, rated for 44 pounds, and slides underneath the larger table to save space. Both stand on powder-coated metal frames with non-slip foot pads, so they stay put on hard floors. Nested, the pair occupies only the 27.5-inch footprint of the large table; separated, the two heights serve a sofa and a low armchair at once. Pull the small table out to serve snacks, then tuck it back when the room needs to open up. The engineered wood tops wipe clean with a damp cloth. Assembly required.
